Included in your course are the PADI materials or Crew Pack, this comprises the PADI Manual, log book and electronic dive planner (eRDP). You will be issued these for home study at the time you enroll in a class, so you will be prepared for your classroom sessions.
Our Groupon classroom sessions run monthly on a Tuesday and Thursday evening. Please refer to the calendar page for available dates. Following your classroom sessions you will be ready for the pool training which occurs the following Saturday and Sunday in an indoor heated pool. You will be in the pool for about 6 hours of fun.
Once you have mastered the fundamental skills in the pool you will be ready to move on to the final step which is the Open Water Certification Dives. You will make four dives in open water, we have various locations where we conduct these depending on the time of year. These range from local lakes in the warmer months to the Springs in North Florida during the cooler months. Course does not include trip or logistics fees for certification dives.

- You must sign a medical waiver
Some conditions will not allow you to participate in scuba diving such as active asthma, epilepsy or other seizure related illnesses, spinal cord injuries with residual, some cardiovascular issues, lung injuries and pregnancy. If you have questions about a possible condition please call. If you answer YES on any question on your Medical History you are required to have physicians approval.
Each participant must have purchased a unique Groupon Number. Each Groupon Number is redeemable only once and expires one year after being issued.
The Open Water Diver Course must be reserved in advance. Course may be rescheduled however a $100 change fee will apply to any course rescheduled within 7 days of the start date. Groupon Numbers are not refundable.
Students are responsible for their personal equipment which includes: Swimsuit, Towel and divers quality: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Dive Boots. These are available in the Columbia Scuba Showroom and can be expertly fitted for you by our dive professionals. Special Package deals are available to Groupon Participants.
